THE LOOP!

A week after the 1993 Love Parade in Berlin Rick, H.P., Jens Thele and Ferris Bueller, H.P.'s cousin, form the remix team called The Loop!

The Loop! release various remixes for acts including Adeva, Holly Johnson, Tag Team, RuPaul, Marky Mark feat. Prince Ital Joe etc. and become one of the top remix teams in Germany.

The Loop! history according to Die Erfolgs Story Über Scooter:

H.P. is still driving between Hamburg and Hannover. He works from time to time at edel. One day he tole Jens about the Hannover connection and the big wish to get into music business. H.P.is hoping that Jens gets interested and finaly Jens is very curios about H.P.'s plans. Jens said to H.P. he should give him a tape with their sound and music examples. After listening to the tapes Jens is immediately enthusiastic. Other than H.P., Rick and Ferris, Jens wants to have them not as musicians in the front but as musicians in the background, better said as a remix team.

As Jens is well known and prized at Edel he is able to get some contracts with top acts. Jens is now a member of the new band called The Loop. The money they earn with the now successful Band makes them able to move the music studio from Hannover to Hamburg. During this time Techno got a big trend. A trend that also The Loop is in love with.

Highlight of the techno scene is the Love Parade in Berlin. The Loop is part of the Love Parade in 1993. After the Love Parade they drove to Dortmund to the MayDay. What they experienced at the MayDay made them the wish to produce Techno music by themselves.

On behalf of a The Netherlands house band they create a techno song called Vallée De Larmes, their first CD. But the single achieved only positions in the dance charts. Now the Loop starts with full power and they decide to change their name. As they listened to VdL again and again the recognized that this track sounds like the atmosphere of a carnival. Urgently they named themselves Scooter.
